A week of relaxation between history and fun in Greece

A trip to the Greek peninsula of Chalkidiki, the birthplace of Aristotle and rich in sites declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The three strips of land that extend towards the Aegean Sea will be lines of discovery of wonderful beaches and towns, of local food and wine production. A region where the Greeks themselves enjoy spending their holidays.

    The itinerary

By renting a car you will be free to move around the Halkidiki region and discover, day by day, every corner of paradise that nature offers. White and rocky beaches, traditional cuisine mainly based on fish and many towns where you can feel welcomed. A day on a boat cannot be missed and this is why the cruise to admire Mount Athos, discover the history and take advantage of the nearby island of Ammuliani will be a unique opportunity to visit an entire peninsula by sea. You cannot miss a stop in Stagira, the birthplace of Arisotle.

After picking up your car at the Hertz counter, don't miss the opportunity to visit the historic center of Thessaloniki: the second largest city in Greece and a treasure chest of magnificent monuments in early Christian and Byzantine style, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once the visit is over, head towards the first "finger" of Halkidiki: Kassandra. Check-in and free dinner.

After breakfast, relax on the local beaches. The day is free, the freedom of choice is yours.

After breakfast, head south to discover the most beautiful beaches of Kassandra: Kallithea (crystal clear waters) and Sani (awarded with the Blue Flag), as well as Pefkohori (sandy beach with water sports) and Possidi (one of the sandiest beaches in Halkidiki) .

After breakfast, off we go! Destination the third "finger": Mount Athos, port of Ouranopolis. The cruise sets sail at 10.30am. The navigation will begin with a navigation to discover the history, myths and legends linked to this UNESCO Heritage Mountain. Lunch will be included, as will docking on the island of Ammuliani and the warm Banana Beach! The choice of how to end the day is yours!

After breakfast, leave for the second "finger": Sithonia! In this strip of land you will find Karidi, Lagonisi and Kalogria are characterized by turquoise and emerald green waters, as well as the beach of Vourvourou (in front of the island of Diaporos) and Kavourotripes and Kalamitsi further south. Finally, just above the peninsula of Mount Athos are Ierissos, Develiki, Tripiti and Komitsa, all unforgettable seaside resorts. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the town of Nikiti, famous for its honey.

After breakfast, set off to discover Stagira, Aristotle's birthplace and stop along the way: you will surely find small farms specializing in the production of wine, oil and beekeeping (30% of Greek honey comes from here!)

After breakfast, head towards the airport where you will return the car to the rental office.
